2005 General Service Conference Committees - Agenda Items

Dear Area 92

As I prepare for the 55th Conference and as you study the Conference Agenda to for the 55th Conference I will need to have some questions answered.

I have chosen some of the Agenda Items for us all to discuss at the Pre Conference Assembly in April so that we might best use the time that is allotted for the Conference Agenda. I have listed some items of interest for you to keep in mind; these are not in any order of importance only items for discussion.

Last year at the July Quarterly I promised that we would have more time dedicated for discussion, so I have asked our Area Chair Sharon T., to give us more Agenda time at the Pre Conference - Assembly for Conference Agenda discussion.

  • This Is Your Opportunity To Give Your Groups Conscience On The Topics And To Participate In The System The Way Bill Intended It To Be With The Groups As The Final Authority!
  • Don't Miss The Chance to Participate! Don't Let Another Group Speak For You!
  1. Please remember that my Committee is the CPC committee and that is the place where I will have an opportunity for your discussion and time to speak about the items on the agenda. So I ask you all to concentrate on my assigned committee as much as possible.
  2. Literature always has a large Agenda and I have included a lot of that Agenda in our discussion because Area 92 always has had a deep interest in the Literature discussions and issues around Literature.
  3. I have chosen items to discuss in the Committees that we have as Corresponding committees; IE: Archives, Cooperation with the Professional Community, Corrections, Grapevine & Literature, Public Information, Treatment.
  4. Please be ready to tell me what you think I should know about the Items or "What should the Delegate know".
  5. If you have a particular interest in an agenda item and want to give me your individual conscience feel free to contact me. 509-458-3929, delegate@area92aa.org
  6. Please take time in advance of the Assembly to study and be prepared to give the conscience of the Groups.
  7. What I am interested in is what your group thinks not just what is says in the background. The background is to give you a place to start the discussion, it is not the discussion. Bring to the Assembly how you group feels and why what I should know to tell the Conference.
  8. There are a few Agenda Items (in Grapevine and in Literature) that are for the Spanish Speaking groups and I will be asking them for background on those items also.

In Love and Service,

Mike M. Delegate panel 54 Area 92 WA State East
