Delegate's Corner January 2004
Dear Washington State East Area 92 Trusted Servant:
I want to take this opportunity at our first Quarterly meeting of the new Panel 54 Rotation to say Hello and to introduce myself.
I am your Washington State East Area 92 Panel 54 Delegate to the General Service Conference. It will be my job to be the conduit between the Area and the Conference and the General Service Office, and to help find the answers to your questions. I intend (God Willing) to be as effective at my job as the other Area 92 delegates that represented our great Area. Should you have any questions please call I will attempt to answer your questions, or get an answer for you as soon as I can. I do not know all the answers or hope that you expect that I do, but I will not be bashful and will find the person who might have the answer, if there is one.
I am going to ask you all to help me. I have been asked just like all 1st year Delegates to the Conference, to do a 2-minute talk about Area 92. Our Area is already rich in History we wrote the book and broke the bank on how to become a new Area. That alone is something to be very proud of, but it is old news. I would like to include any new news that I can. I will be including the fact that we have added a 2nd Assembly to our structure which will be big news at the Conference. However, any other highlights that I might add are greatly appreciated.
Congratulations to you all on being given the honor to represent your respective groups. Be that your District, Group, or Committee. We are all in this together and have one thing to accomplish that we are here to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous. Each of you will be receiving correspondence from GSO. DCM's and GSR's will be getting respective packets of information intended to help you do your jobs and provide you with written information. You will be getting a Grapevine and the Quarterly newsletter, "About AA" The Standing committee chairs will receive news respective to each of their committees. Thanks again for your commitment to Area 92 as a Whole (22 Districts, over 400 Groups and thousands of Alcoholics).
In Love and Service, Mike M.
