Background   When Area 92 was still part of Area 72 this was presented several times. This motion was presented in 1998 in Area 92. Many (most , but not all) Areas do allow full "Right of Participation" with voting responsibilities to their appointed officers. (See Concept IV & pg.S-94 in the Service Manual)

If Not Passed   If Not Passed the Area 92 voting structure would continue as it is now with 6 elected officers and 21 DCM's voting at Area Quarterlies and This total plus all GSRs would vote at the Area Assemblies.

Notes:     1) The above background information was written by the Area 92 Chairperson and published in the September 1999 issue of the Area 92 Newsletter.
2) This motion initially failed to pass at the Assembly because it did not receive substantial unanimity. District 2's motion to reconsider (seconded by District 7) was passed. The motion was again voted on, followed by a poll of the voting body, resulting in the motion being passed.
