Background   Five areas currently participate and support the Pacific Northwest Conference:   B.C./Yukon, Idaho, Oregon, Western Washington, Washington State East. The level of support and participation varies among the areas. Three areas fund the Delegate and Chair. The Delegate and Chair of each area are the voting members of the Pacific Northwest Conference and represent their respective areas at the Pacific Northwest Conference business meeting held annually at the conference. Occasionally the Delegate or Chair from an area cannot attend and will designate another area officer who is attending to be a voting member.

About 375 people attend the Conference annually.

If Passed   The Delegate and Chairperson will be funded to the Pacific Northwest Conference four out of five years. The cost could be up to $1,000 per year. The Delegate and Chair would be expected to attend the Conference.

If Not Passed   The Delegate and Chairperson will not be funded to the Pacific Northwest Conference but may attend at their own expense. If the Delegate and/or Chairperson choose not to attend, they will not vote on behalf of the area but could designate another area officer who is attending to be a voting member.
