Washington State East Area 92 Alcoholics Anonymous

Bridge The Gap

The purpose of the Bridging the Gap (BTG) program is to provide a hand, reached out in the spirit of our Twelve Steps of Recovery, to assist the newcomer to find the same help in staying sober that we ourselves found.

The BTG program is designed to assist newcomers making the transition from treatment to the AA Program. Those of us that were previously in treatment have found that probably the "wettest" and most "slippery" place in the journey to lifelong sobriety is the distance between the door of the treatment facility and the nearest AA group or meeting.

For more information on the BTG program check out the section below which includes contact information as well as links to view forms and pamphets. To read more about GSO's description of this program click here: Temporary Contact Program.

For More Information

Send an email to the Chair of our Area Treatment Committee by clicking here Treatment (treatment@area92.org). He or she can help you get started-and might even be able to introduce you to people, BTG Coordinator, in your district already doing this work.
